WHO ARE WE?

Health EDU was created to serve uninsured and unhoused folks in the Bay Area through health education and connection to health services, particularly in reproductive and sexual health.
To accomplish this, we:
1) Implement health education programs with community partners focusing on self-efficacy, healthcare navigation, and skills-building around having difficult conversations related to topics like mental health, sexual health, and substance use.
2) Deploy student volunteers as peer health educators with community partners.
3) Distribute period products, safer sex products, and harm reduction products to community partners.
4) Develop a community of people passionate about dismantling health stigma and improving health education and connection to care by hosting monthly events centered around destigmatizing health topics and service.
